) “Longing in Separation” is one of the most
well-known lovepoemsof Joseonperiod.The timewhen itwascomposed
and name of its author are unknown. There are several variants of text
of this poem as it was a part of many poetical anthologies of the 19
th
century — the beginning of the 20
th
century. The fullest variant of
“Sangsa-byeolgok” may be found in “Namhun Taepyeong-ga”

century. This collection belongs to the type of anthologies for a
